They're basically the same transmission, but the TH475, also nicknamed "the dump truck transmission", has the straight cut gears and sometimes a deeper pan. If you can look at the top of your transmission's tailshaft, it ought to have "HD" (heavy duty) brazed onto it if it's the 475.

There is a square cut O ring in there to seal the tail housing to the main case. Likely the yoke you have will not fit the T-475 output shaft because there is an O ring on the out put shaft ... I verified the model in my book as a FK 475 trans from a 1987-88 P-series motor home. I understand the 475 has straight cut gears, not helical cut like the 400's do.
