Greenham common peace garden

In 2000, the fences surrounding the base were finally taken down. The site of the protests was turned into a memorial to honour the disarmament movement. The memorial consists of a garden with Welsh stones surrounding it. The memorial is meant to show peace and the fight against nuclear weapons.
