I do believe the 2-handed axe is the best AoE of choice for a Knight. I once saw a Knight using that, and he kill that single massmob of 8 or 10 with 3 hits.

WebKnight's have it easier when it comes to how cheap they are, especially 1v1 knights. I've seen guardian big swords go for as low as 5M, the other weapons aren't much more expensive. The knight's armor sets are just as expensive as the blade's most of the time though, so sticking to store armor would be fine.
